Sharing is caring, but there are times when you'd rather keep the best beer all to yourself. That's where this highly personalized bottle lock comes in - it'll protect your prized brew from those who might be tempted to taste without asking. Inspired by JON-A-TRON's innovative Beer Bottle Lock design (check out http://www.instructables.com/id/Beer-Bottle-Lock/), I set out to create my own. This customizable design prints fully assembled and is free of any support material, saving you the hassle of removing excess material after printing. Using the latest beta version of OpenSCAD, you can easily customize the text on top of your lock with your own message or logo. I've been using small padlocks (check out http://www.masterlock.com/personal-use/product/121T/) to safeguard my brews, but any compact lock with an 11mm (7/16in) diameter shackle will work perfectly fine. Print the design on your Replicator 2 with a .2mm layer height and 20% infill for optimal results. It's worth noting that bottle locks may not be effective when paired with twist-off caps. Instructions: Just print out the design, grab a small lock (about 11mm or 7/16in diameter), and secure your beer. The compact lock I used on my Replicator 2 was printed with a .2mm layer height and 20% infill, producing excellent results.
