Beer bottle lime juicer
thingiverse
Someone posted an innovative bottle juicer that attaches securely onto the bottle, but my wife pointed out that it won't work for her beer bottles - you'll have to design one that fits pop-off tops. This clever device holds onto the bottle in three effective ways. First, the straw inserted down the neck will displace some liquid, so take a sip first if you want to avoid wasting any juice. Second, it provides a gentle grip at the top, not too aggressive but just enough to give it a secure hold. Third, the over-the-neck legs allow you to grasp around the neck and legs with one hand while juicing your lime with the other. Blues enthusiasts can sing along as they see fit. This design accommodates smaller limes, but results may vary with larger lemons or limes - experiment and enjoy. It's worth noting that I realized the original legs were a bit flimsy and mine snapped off after some rough handling. However, it still works well without them. A friend who printed theirs sideways has had no issues, suggesting that the layer direction makes a difference. To address this, I created two new versions - one with thicker legs and another without any legs but with a groove at the top for added grip.
