Beer Barrel Opener (King Keg)

I made this beer barrel opener tool for my old man because his arthritis makes it hard to open barrels by himself. I designed two versions, one with a smoother handle since the stepped version can be a bit rough to grip. If I had a larger build plate, I would extend and widen the handles even more. This tool was based on KingKeg barrel lids and fits both of our barrels perfectly. Print Settings Printer Brand: FlashForge Printer: FlashForge Creator Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.30 Infill: 75 Notes: I wanted this part to be super strong, so I used high resolution and infill settings - even 3 shell thickness! How I Designed This I traced the lid of a KingKeg barrel using calipers to get the dimensions of the fins and outer diameter. Then, I mocked up the shape in 3DS Max with the "Measure and Select" extension (http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/miauu-measure-and-select). I wanted this part printed as one solid piece because assembling it might make it too weak. This design uses my FlashForge Creator's whole build plate, and I tried rotating the tool to extend the handles but that would attach the slim section directly to the handle which could weaken the tool. The handles can definitely be extended if you have a bigger print area.
