BeeKooHaa Printhead (Beta) for Creality Ender 2 Pro by Junk-Tec ==================== Cooling system for Biqu H2 extruder. Should suit both V1 and V2, although only V2 was tested. Project doesn’t (and won’t) support BLTouch or any mesh leveling sensor (I’d like to keep the printhead as compact as possible) but feel free to fork it and create your version with such a sensor. Special thanks to Citruzzzor whose Impact (https://www.printables.com/model/296755-the-impact-printhead) was used to design the fan duct. Fan duct cools from all sides producing excellent results up to 60° overhangs. And it can even work with 80° overhangs to some extent. There are several options available: full stock, 40x10 and 40x20. **IMPORTANT NOTES!** This is the Beta version of the printhead which means it has (or may have) some flaws. As an example — slightly worse cooling from the right and from the back due to uneven flow of a centrifugal fan (computations were made for the even flow). If you’re planning to print 290°C/130°C with passive chamber 40°C (as I do) I highly recommend to print fan duct from polycarbonate of polypropylene which can withstand 130°C. I printed my from PP-GF30. In other cases ABS will be enough. **You will lose 16 mm of Y.** Also there will be loss of X when using the 40x20 version. To utilize the full bed use https://www.printables.com/model/330621-ender-2-pro-y-tensioner-6-12mm-belts. **Don’t forget to change your firmware to reflect actual endstops positions and bed size!** Here are my positions for the 40x20 version with printed tensioners for the Marlin (also can be used for any other firmware): X_MIN_POS -7 Y_MIN_POS -18 BOM --------------------- For all versions: * Fan duct: * 5015 centrifugal fan * 2 x M3x6 flanged (or 2 x M3x5 flanged, or 2 x M3x8 and 2 x M3 washer) * 1 x M3x20 (or M3x25 with M3 washer) * Carriage mount: * 4 x M3x8 flanged (or 4 x M3x10 + 4 x M3 washer): for the extruder * 2 x M3x6 flanged (or 2 x M3x8 flanged): front of the plate * 1 x M3x10 flanged: back of the plate * 1 x self-locking nut: back of the plate 40x10 version: * 40x10 adapter * 2 x M3x20 button, 1 x M3x6 flanged or button (or M3x8 flanged or button) 40x20 version: * 40x20 adapter * 2 x M3x30 flanged (or button and 2 x M3 washers) Print tips --------------------- All parts are printed without supports. It’s highly recommended to adjust and check bridge settings to avoid sagging inside fan ducts. Although there are some artificial bridges added there could be sagging anyway. Use the provided ‘BeeKooHaa Bridge Test’ before printing to make sure that air flow will not be obstructed. Assembly tips --------------------- 1. Attach the mount to the carriage. Note: Carriage mount uses the reverse side of the carriage for the third screw which is quite unusual but it works. 2. Attach the extruder to the mount. 3. If you’re using a 40x10 or 40x20 adapter — attach the adapter first to the extruder and only then attach the fan. It’s also recommended to cut the thread for the top-right screw before attaching. 4. Attach the fan duct without tightening the screws and align it to level with the nozzle’s surface (as displayed at the picture). Then tighten the screws.
