Beehive Moats

Beehive Moats

cults3d

Cute bee shaped beehive moats! The moats are placed on the bottom or the legs of hive boxes and filled with water or oil to prevent ants and other nuisance insects from being able to get access to the inside of the hive. I made mine from regular PLA. They were printed completely solid (100% infill) at a layer height of .16. With these settings, I can stand, jump, bounce, and stomp on one and cannot break it, not even close. And I am not a small person, I weigh 220lbs. I have full confidence saying a set of 4 would hold at least 900 pounds, which is way more than what is needed for a single hive. Printed with above settings, they take about 8 hours each. As always, this is a copywrited file for personal use only. Any selling of the file or printed item is not allowed, and sending me a message about it won't change that.
