Beehive Moat, modification
thingiverse
I fabricated the beehive moat and the rain cover fit snugly and wouldn't slide off without using an exacto knife for scraping. The modifications made to this version are to increase the size of the hole for the cover so it slides on easily. I also moved the small hole in the cover slightly towards the center to align it more precisely over the moat. I made the curved surfaces in the moat level with the flat walls. Furthermore, I increased the screw hole diameter to 4mm. In addition, I flattened the interior surface where the screw head would make contact with the underside of the top of the moat. All in all, minor adjustments were made to an excellent design. To fabricate, print in ABS, using 50-100 % infill and fast resolution is acceptable.
