Nesting blocks for housing red and horned mason bees comprise 11 nesting holes (8mm diameter). These holes are held together by lashings. Ensure these nesting blocks are sheltered from rain. Nesting blocks provide easy monitoring of bees; in autumn, they can be opened to remove cocoons, eliminate parasites, clean the boards and make them ready for use by next year's bees. Separate wintering of bee cocoons ensures availability as pollinators in the coming season. Each nesting board measures approximately 17.5 cm x 16 cm x 16 mm.
