Beehive Lamp Shade

The inspiration for this design comes from the Greeks' love of honey and therefore the honey bees. The honeycomb pattern obstructs the light at different distances to create a deep gradient in the hexagonal pattern. This product has been designed for an E27 lampholder [40mm Diameter] if you can't find one of those let us know and we can supply you with an adapter plate/alter the design. We printed this design with Pearl White PLA [Ultimaker] We have tested this product with a 15W light bulb and there has been no deformation of the PLA. If you use PLA we wouldn't recommend going much higher than this. To print this design we used an Ultimaker 2+ 3D printer and the print in the photos is printed with a 0.6 mm nozzle [you can also use 0.25mm, 0.4mm +0.8mm]. We would love to see your prints!
