Beehive broodbox frame spacers - Simplex

I'm planning to make frame spacers for my simplex type beehive. You can use them for broodboxes and honey supers. For broodboxes, I think bottom spacers are required because frames are much longer than standard ones. Honey supers only need top spacers. Commercial spacers are basically metal strips cut to length but lack the ability to position frames in the middle of the box and distribute bee space equally between sides. Each spacer can hold 3 frames, so for the 11 frame simplex, you'll need to cut a spacer (or ask me to add a 2 frame spacer). I used 3.0x20mm wood screws to attach spacers in the boxes. Be aware that box dimensions play a significant role in a good fit. I'm new to beekeeping, but I hope this little project will turn out okay. I hope bees won't have an adverse reaction to PLA material... Print Settings Printer: Delta 3D Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 40 Notes: I used plain PLA for this project and printed it a little hotter than usual (200°C). These spacers will be outside in the beehives, but won't have to endure sun radiation since they are inside the boxes.
