I sought a leg that would be less prone to breaking and not resemble the death claw accompanying the original X525 kit. The hole at the bottom is designed for a 3/8" x .016 aluminum rod, which can be cut to match your specific requirements. This part is printed with PLA+ from Esun, a high-quality filament that I highly recommend trying if you haven't already. It offers the strength of ABS without the layer bonding issues associated with it. I've also added some foam practice golf balls to the bottom for extra protection.
