Beefy Dremel 395 Mount
thingiverse
This OpenSCAD v2019.05 program generates a holder and mount for a Dremel 395 tool. It was inspired by dintid's version: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1761641, but the author didn't release any files that I could use to modify it, so I built this from scratch. The major improvements in this version are: 1. The hinge was a weak spot - if you tightened it just a little too much, the hinge would break. This design is much stronger, eliminating the hinge and just bolting both sides down. It's still easy to take apart; just loosen the screws a couple of turns and pull the Dremel right out. 2. I modified the base plate to match the tooling plate that I wish to bolt it to. Included is a configuration that builds the same baseplate as dintid's version. 3. This version includes an improved threaded ring for the nosepiece.
