The Beechcraft T-34 Mentor, a successor to the Bonanza, was developed as a replacement for World War II-era trainers. Built between the 1950s and mid-1960s, this agile and fast aircraft provided advanced training for students on complex aircraft. Despite being phased out of USAF, Navy, and USMC inventories in the 1970s, many T-34 Mentors were exported to other countries and some were transferred to the Civil Air Patrol.
