Intended for use in in-flight animations, video, or simulation, it can also be used to populate airport scenes. This Beechcraft 99 Airliner commenced production in 1966 as a replacement for the Beechcraft Model 18, utilizing turboprop engines and designed to carry larger loads more efficiently. Derived from the King Air and Queen Air aircraft using parts and systems from both, it lacked pressurization. Production ceased in 1987 due to lost sales to the pressurized Beechcraft B1900C and B1900D with capacity for even more passengers or freight. Despite this, numerous Beech 99s remain in service globally, with over half operated by Ameriflight, predominantly in North and South America.
