On a journey to discover 3D printing applications that help nature, here's the latest find. The insect hotel is a game-changer for preserving pollinators, key players in biodiversity. Solitary bees build their nests by themselves and lay their eggs in tunnels made from dead wood or hard soil. The Bee shape hotel mimics these conditions perfectly. This easy-to-make pattern is designed to be printed without a backing, making it simple to create. The dimensions are 100 mm high, 140 mm wide, and 60 mm deep. To bring this design to life, simply fill the interior with hollow plant stems like bamboo or reed. To get the best results, place your bee house in full sun, facing southeast or south. It's suitable for balconies, small gardens, large gardens, and medium-sized gardens alike. Secure it with two screws (4 mm diameter) and enjoy watching the bees thrive. A southern exposure is highly recommended, as cold-blooded bees need warmth from the sun to take off in the morning. However, this model can also be used to create a shelf if you prefer.
