This is a multi-function manipulative color sorter that works on both color pairing as well as small muscles in fingers and hands. The person sorts colored chips into the hive that matches in color. This can also be used by occupational therapists either as is or with the use of tweezers to increase fine motor skills. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black How I Designed This I designed this with little fingers and minds in mind, adding grips to chips for a better grasp and enabling use of tweezers if desired. Custom Section Project: Bee Hive Color Sorter Objectives: Students learn color pairing while improving fine motor skills. Audiences: Suitable for Preschool, early intervention, special needs children, and Alzheimer's or Stroke patients. Preparation: Ensure students are old enough not to put items in their mouth; tweezers or tongs can be used to increase fine motor skill if desired. Results At the end of this project, you will have made a sorting system with as many sorters and coins as you desire. Each set should be printed in a different color with as many colors as necessary. After placing sorters in front of your student, hand him or her a coin and instruct the student to sort the coin. Increase how many coins are given at once until the student has mastered all colors.
