Bee Frame Holder
thingiverse
This frame holder secures frames in place during inspections. It's designed to be screwed directly into a Langstroth hive or nearby surface. This two-piece design consists of a plate that fits securely onto a mounting surface and a frame holder bracket that extends outward. The two-part construction minimizes overhangs and eliminates the need for filler material during printing, while also allowing for easy removal of the bracket when moving, storing, or winterizing the box. To secure the plate to a surface, six McMaster-Carr 90294A108 screws are used. These 18-8 Stainless Steel screws are Number 4 Size and 3/8" long. For added strength on particle board or similar surfaces, longer screws may be preferred. In typical store-bought softwood boxes with all six screws installed, the standard 3/8" length has proven sufficient for my needs.
