I have Apis Jatai bees at home, a Brazilian species known for not having a stinger. My bees prefer the internal feeding method, but some colleagues in meliponiculture report more success with external feeding, such as that provided by this feeder. Although my bees didn't take to it well, I still left it out as an ornamental decoration.
