Bedside phone holster for IKEA Hemnes bed frame
thingiverse
I designed a phone holder in Fusion 360 as a place to drop my phone into every night. The phone can fit in top down while charging or either way when not plugged in. The slots on the sides are sized at 5mm to allow most USB cables to fit in, but narrow enough that the plug doesn't slide through. This allows one to hook the charge connector onto it, making it easy to grab while in bed. The holster is 80mm wide, so wide enough for most smartphones that aren't oversized. The hook has a 22.5mm gap. I measured the bed frame to be between about 22.3 and 22.45mm wide, so gave a little extra room for an easy fit. It slides on easily yet snugly. Print it on its side as shown in the photo. Use your preferred supports. I used tree supports, which worked well. I think it weighed a total of 53g with supports. I had an idea while sleeping after printing this that an oval hole in the bottom could allow it to sit in the holster while plugged in. I might get around to adding this feature myself at some point, but if you want to remix, go ahead.
