A nightstand button console for controlling lights and other devices without leaving bed. It's controlled using your garden-variety Wemos D1 Mini (clone) flashed with Tasmota for ease of configuration (I'm using these GPIO: 4, 5, 12, 13, 14). I assume ESPHome would also work. This console sends out an MQTT command which is picked up by my Node Red server.

The buttons I purchased from AliExpress (they're not exactly cheap when you include shipping). The button holes in the face of the unit are 12.25mm. I also used JST-XH 2.54mm connectors so I could easily disassemble the project (that link is for reference only, that set appears to only have 10cm leads which would not be long enough for this project). I have these attached to a standard 60mmx40mm prototyping PCB board.

This was designed as an under-counter attachment. There are holes that you can fit a screwdriver through in order to secure it to the bottom of a counter or desk (or nightstand in my case) with screws.
