Bedside bottle holder for 26mm frames
prusaprinters

Hi,

I designed this bottle holder to keep my large 1.5l Camelbak bottles in reach, without the danger of throwing them of my bedside table at night. It fits 1.5l bottles up to 100mm and large cups that are at least 100mm. Bottles that are a little smaller should be fine, but much smaller bottles would probably fall through.

My bedframe is made from 26mm MDF, but you can probably scale the clamps if your frame is just a little diffrent. Or you could design your own clamps in tinkercad, they just need to be 20mm wide and 5mm thick, for the best fit.

The parts are designed to be printed in optimal orientation for maximum strength and they attach with M3 screws and square nuts.

The heads of my M3 screws are 3mm thick and 5.5mm wide, I designed the recesses for that. If you have completly diffrent screws, you should probably print one of the clamps first, to see if your screws fit.

You will need:

2x M3x16 cylindrical hex screws

2x M3x20 cylindrical hex screws

4xM3 square nut (the part is designed for 5.5mmx2mm M3 square nuts)

Print Instructions:

No supports (support for the screw holes on the main part is very optional and only cosmetic, see 3mf-file).

Print base plate and U-part flat and the clamps on their side for maximum strength.

I used PLA for my prints, PETG or ASA might be better longterm, but it feels very sturdy, so not really an issue for me.

0.2 layer height

3 or 4 perimeter for some strength for the heavy bottles

20% infill

maybe an extra bottom layer if you feel like it

Build Instructions:

The holes for the square nuts are pretty tight, they might need a bit of love from a THWACK.

Be careful not to overshoot with the square nuts in the large U-part.

Short screws to attach the clamps to the main part and long screws to attach the bottom U-part.
