UPDATE 09.01.2020 Unfortunately, the first print was not entirely satisfactory. The concentricity at the outermost edge is not optimal. The diameter for the 32 mm ball bearings can be 32.03 or 32.04 mm instead of 32.02. Then it will unfortunately press in. UPDATE 01.01.2020 This Bedini rotor was designed very accurately and carefully with Free CAD. It took several hours until this rotor version 1.0 was ready. I was inspired by this entry on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2023477 It's not a remix, but a completely new creation of a rotor for a schoolgirl Bedini. The rotor is printable on my 300 x 250 mm printing bed without any problems. I did not want to make version 1.0 bigger. The original 16 polygon with the four rotor spokes has an outer diameter of 200 mm or a height of 25 mm and was flattened at the outer edges to make room for 16 neodymium magnets with the dimensions 20 x 20 x 3 mm. All surfaces on which the magnets lie are flattened. The chamfered slots, which are located 2 mm behind the drive magnet on the outer side / outer ring, are held by a second magnet behind it. Therefore no screws, glues or clamps are necessary. The outer magnet is held in place by a second magnet. The holding magnet for the outer ring magnet is simply inserted into the slot behind it and holds by itself. In order to be able to print the pockets of the magnets in a horizontal position, 2 edges are flattened / chamfered. The rotor is supported in the center by two ball bearings with the inner dimensions of an M12 threaded rod. The bore in the rotor is set to 32.02 mm to accept the ball bearing with an outer diameter of 32.00 mm. It is recommended to print the rotor with PELG or other higher strength filaments. The infill should be over 75%. Top and bottom layer should be at least 5 layers. You can use the rotor up to 16 magnets (without the 16 holding magnets behind it). On top of that, you can attach further magnets, which all hold 16 , 32 , 48 etc.... In addition, an installation of only 4 or 8 magnets is naturally possible. In the further days we will construct the two rotor bearings to give the rotor a hold.
