This is a modified bed plate designed so that I could attach my crank arm to the crank gear and mount them on the outside of the frame. With the crank gear and arm attached to each other, they move as one with no slippage. I did not have the necessary skills to install the couplers recommended in the original design. It was easier for me to re-design the center hole on the crank gear and arm to fit a 5/16" hex head bolt and attach with a lock nut. The 5/16" bolt was the perfect size to work with the existing skate bearings. I don't remember the length of the bolt but it needs to be long enough to go through the gear, arm and frame with only the threads sticking out the end. I marked the end of the bolt after I had the nut on and cut off the excess. Please keep in mind that this setup worked for me, but not all printers and filaments behave the same. Please watch the video I posted on YouTube explaining things to look for and what I modified. It took me 28 hours to print my frame so I would suggest printing the test piece first. I explain this on the video. https://youtu.be/mFtIFh40zMs Use these files at your own risk.
