This printer, like many others, utilizes paper binder clips to secure the glass plate to the bed plate. Almost every malfunction I've experienced was caused by the glass shifting during printing. So, I devised a straightforward solution and haven't encountered any failures of that type since. Some have questioned whether the clamps cause the bed to become misaligned. The answer is no, and I've confirmed this numerous times with a dial indicator. There's ample clamping area when using the pads that the clamps only need to be tightened by hand. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN !!! The bolt measures 4mm in diameter, and the nut is countersunk so the foot pad can sit flush against it. The clamp stands at a total height of 45mm and width of 25mm, with a thickness of 10mm. The interior space is 25mm wide, leaving 20mm when accounting for the foot pad. I manufacture it from ABS, but I believe PLA would be suitable if infill exceeds 20%. In the CAD software (FreeCAD), I used a 4mm threaded hole. Since there's a nut present, tapping the ABS material wasn't necessary.
