Raising the silicon bed mounts purchased from Amazon was essential to replace the worn-out springs on both my Ender 3 and CR-10S S5 printers. The strain relief mount on the Ender 3 created uneven tension, causing excessive stress on the left corner compared to the other corners. To rectify this issue, I utilized three of the 2mm spacers to level all four corners, providing the necessary relief on the back left corner and making bed leveling significantly easier. In contrast, the silicon mounts for the CR-10S S5 were too short, necessitating a lift to achieve proper alignment. Initially, I employed 5mm spacers with my glass bed but switched to 8mm spacers when upgrading to a magnetic build plate. Using multiple metal washers resulted in an unacceptable clicking and cracking noise on the heavier bed, making this option superior for my specific needs. The spacers feature a designed space to securely insert the silicon bed mounts, ensuring better stability of the mounts. Additionally, the 2mm spacers can be used with Ender 3 bed springs to evenly distribute tension across all corners of the print bed.
