Bed Leveling Knob "Tire" for Anycubic i3 Mega (S) - Remix
thingiverse
Far to often I started leveling with turning the adjustment knobs in the wrong direction. In addition the original knobs are also hidden pretty well under the hotbed. From all the knobs I found already designed by fellow Mega owners I liked the version of MKingCharles the best and printed one sample. After using it for a while it felt a bit to large for my taste and why clip something over the original knob and not make a complete knob instead? Imported the original design into tinkercad, shrank it to 35mm diameter, filled the center, added a raised center, made a 3.5mm hole and a hex hole for a nut. Printed in PLA with 0.15mm adaptive layers, 50% cubic infill and support a first test sample and glued in a nut. Instead of a nut I then went for a cut in half piece of M3 12mm spacer to have a bit more thread. Main reason for this was that it is also easier to glue in with superglue... As these spacers come with the same key size as M3, 5.5mm, but also with 6mm both STL files are attached and you have to pick the right one.
