Bed Leveling Knob for Tronxy X5S and #6-32 Screw & Nut

My Tronxy X5S has a minor QC problem with over-bored build plate so tiny M3 screws can pull through easily. The screws are also short once washers are added to prevent this from happening, leaving the adjustment range severely limited. Additionally, wing nuts aren't as great as knobs in my opinion. As a result, I found non-metric #6-32 x 1.5 inch machine screws that were close to M3 size at local hardware stores. I bought Bulldog Hardware's #6-32x1.5" machine screw 11-pack of screws & nuts from Walmart with UPC code 035061480102. The nuts are fairly large for the screw size, so this knob might need modifications for other hardware. This part was printed in PLA and the tolerances were perfect, just right, but you'll need to apply some force to press-fit the nuts into the knob. For springs that fit longer screws, Harbor Freight has a fantastic little box of 200 springs for $4.99 (be aware that this same box is sold on Amazon for about $12 with metric vs english units). If you look at the second photo, You might notice there are TWO springs as the 9.12x34.9 and 5.55x38.1mm sizes, as the springs are a bit lighter than the 15mm springs Tronxy X5S ships with. Those sizes will fit concentrically over each other and the inner also keeps the outer from squirming around so much. Together they are much closer to the spring strength of the original. Remember F=kx for the bed springs, so as mass on the bed builds up, the leveling springs will slightly distort the layer height. This really only becomes an issue when the mass on the bed is several kg, but hey, some people do that!
