Bed leveling knob for M4 nuts
thingiverse
ALERT: I experimented with M4 nyloc nuts and it fails to function. The bed level screws are not secured in place and will turn with the knob! Seeking a solution. I grew frustrated with constantly adjusting the bed and thought: Maybe nyloc nuts can solve this issue. They should maintain their position despite all the movement and vibrations the bed experiences during printing. But now I needed a fitting leveling knob. This is my attempt at designing one. There are two versions available: One for nuts with a brim (which I highly recommend using) and a brim-less version for standard nuts. Benefits: * A simple yet robust design * Relatively light weight * Prints rapidly (~25 min.) * The nut projects slightly from the knob As the nut protrudes from the knob, there is no pressure on the elastic/compressible printed part. This potentially improves precision and repeatability of the leveling process.
