Bed Leveling Grid v2
thingiverse
Modified Bed Leveling Grid for Accurate Prints A custom leveling grid tests corner-to-corner as well as the main print area, allowing for precise adjustments during printing. As lines are printed, adjust the bed levels and see immediate results when the next line prints. Leveling Steps: 1. Perform a paper leveling test by sliding a piece of paper between the nozzle and bed in one corner. Adjust the wheel until you feel resistance as you slide the paper around. Repeat this process for all four corners. 2. Slice the STL file with a layer height of 0.12mm or 0.20mm, without any raft or support settings. 3. Begin printing. 4. After the purge line prints, start printing at one corner. If the filament doesn't stick, raise the corner until it sticks. As you print slowly, adjust the bed back down to achieve a consistent line with a small amount of squish. If the nozzle appears to be scraping or the filament looks transparent, lower the bed. If the filament looks cylindrical, raise the bed. 5. Each line is 2 walls thick, so make any necessary adjustments during the first wall's print. When the second wall prints, you'll immediately see if your adjustments have smoothed out imperfections. 6. After completing a print, remove it and reprint the same file to confirm that your bed is fully leveled. Note any potential problem spots indicating bed warping to avoid printing on those areas in the future.
