Bed Leveling Dial Indicator Mount Wanhao DI3
thingiverse
This is a simple bed leveling dial indicator mounting bracket for the Wanhao Duplicator I3 or in my case the Monoprice Makerselect V2. I mount the indicator and then adjust the bed height in the back right corner where the nozzle is closest to the leveling screw (using a piece of paper or feeler gauge). Then I rotate the dial indicator face to zero. From this point on, the paper isn't needed anymore. Just move the bed around and adjust the height to re-zero the dial indicator. If you end up adjusting the back left leveling screw then you should recheck the height. The bracket mounts on top of the OEM print cooling fan using 2 slightly longer than OEM screws, M3 x 8 or 10 SHCS. Most dial indicators with a standard 1/4” mounting hole on the back will work. I purchased a $14, 0-1” of travel, Triton dial indicator on Amazon in January of 2020. The distance from the center of the mounting lug on the back of the indicator to the bed is approximately 2 5/8" or 67 mm. You will also need a 1/4” or M6 machine screw and matching nut to attach the indicator to the mounting bracket. I used a 1/4-20 x 3/4” long SHCS. To complete this project, you'll need: 2 - M3 x 8 or 10 SHCS 1 - M6 x 20 or 1/4-20 x 0.75" SHCS (washers are optional) 1 - M6 or 1/4-20 matching nut
