This item is specifically designed for Makerbot Replicator 2x or Replicator 2 owners who have upgraded their glass and heated bed from the eBay site here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/IDE-Makerbot-Replicator-2-2X-heated-glass-build-plate-bed-upgrade-/351702150306. This glass upgrade solved my print sticking issues with PLA, ABS, etc., instantly. I had tried various alternatives, including Kapton, Blue Tape, and many others, before finding this solution and a 3D Lac spray that works perfectly on glass for both ABS and PLA. The results are impressive - when printing on Glass, parts just pop off the bed effortlessly after cooling down. To ensure a tight fit for the glass and bed, I made custom clips to prevent movement in X and Y axes. This solution is far better than larger clippers that might conflict with head movements. Perfect prints ensued after implementing these changes. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.3 Infill: 100% Notes: Use only ABS when printing on a heated bed; otherwise, nothing special is required.
