It's a Clip, 8mm opening size. The screw closes another 8mm so the minimal space is 4 mm. It will hold anything between 8mm to 4mm width. The clip measures 20X20X14 and as I posted, you won't need supports for it to be strong. I have tested it in PETG and it holds up well.
