Bed Clip for Wanhao i3 Glass on heatbed

Update 3/5/2017 A stronger heatbed clip has been added for PLA and ABS prints. The bulldog clips I used to have caused problems with pause, home all, or printing anything over 160 x 160 mm because the fan unit would kick them off and cause bed leveling issues immediately. I researched many different clips designed for heat beds but they all had the same problem or brought new ones to the table. A user named Jolly_Oli created a design called Ormerod Heatbed clip, which I found helpful but was still too big for my Wanhao i3 printer. This inspired me to redesign it specifically for my Wanhao i3 with shorter footage on the glass. I also removed the plastic print surface and added 0.5 mm silicone under my glass bed. UPDATE: On October 3, 2016: Printing with ABS or PLA does not work because they are too soft for high temperatures. I printed with PETG instead and found that it works much better. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 V2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 300 micron Infill: 100% Notes: I print with ABS+ which is flexible enough to give pressure like a bulldog clip but very strong so it doesn't break. I use kapton tape and it sticks very well, except you may need a raft since the area on the bed is very small. Post-Printing
