Bed calibration tile
thingiverse
Heyo! Just a tiny tile, measuring 5x5x0.2 millimeters, for leveling and Z height calibration. In your slicing program, set the first layer to 0.2 millimeters, place one near each leveling screw (leaving room for skirting), print, then use a sharp object to carefully remove it and measure with precision calipers. For those without precision calipers, here's a visual guide: * If nothing comes out, you may have a clog or be too low. * If you see sharp convex ridges on the finish, you're a bit too low. * If you see round concave ridges, you might be okay, maybe a little high. * If you notice gaps in the infill and perimeters, you're too high (or your extrusion is off, check thickness then). * A smooth finish with small sharp ridges means you've got it just right! M3 screws: one-quarter turn equals 150 micrometers. Others: Check the pitch. Good luck! Zap out!
