Bed Bug Bed Post Trap
thingiverse
A clever device you can position under your bedposts to intercept bedbugs if they decide to venture away from their bedding haven. This trap is designed to catch them both on their way out and back in. Since bedbugs are notoriously poor climbers, the interior of the trench features a steep incline. Feel free to spray insecticide inside the trap as well. I sincerely hope you never find yourself needing this solution, but I'm hoping it will be a valuable resource for someone facing a bedbug infestation. Version 1 (removed from download section) This design catches nymphs effectively; however, an adult placed in the moat was able to climb out. In version 2 today, I plan on adjusting the angle and height of the walls. Version 2 (never uploaded) The moat walls were made more vertical and adjustments were made to the points. Version 3 (never uploaded) The moat was made taller, and measurements revealed gaps and heights of 20mm – roughly four times the length of an adult bedbug's body. Version 4 CURRENT A minor adjustment was made to the inside diameter.
