Bebop 2 Base Plate
thingiverse
This is a universal mounting base plate for underneath your Bebop 2 drone that clicks into place so you don't need to modify the drone frame. Two 3 mm holes are located at the front and two more at the back. At the back, M3 nuts are inserted, allowing you to attach anything you like to carry with you. I plan to create various gadgets and will link them here as they come into existence. The screw holes are positioned 34.5 mm from each other left to right, and 35.5 mm front to rear. The nuts lock into the design so you only need to tighten the screws. If you leave the base plate on without anything attached, it's wise to insert some dummy screws in order not to lose the nuts. The whole assembly weighs about 10 grams. Important note: Whatever you attach, ensure that the sensor has an unobstructed view. Print Settings Printer: Custom Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.5 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height Infill: 100% Notes: Since the base plate is only 2 mm thick, align the support structure density and printbed positioning to get the supports exactly right in the large central hole. Two screenshots of the slicer preview illustrate the desired support and its location. Unless you have a very well-tuned print, you may not even need support.
