This is a remarkably smooth, swift, and stunning egg, drawing inspiration from kellyegan's original design. Enhancements include: Instead of layering cylindrical shapes, this creation computes a complete 3D polyhedron form. Increased polygon density around both ends of the egg eliminates the "pointy tip" issue. No rendering flaws appear in preview mode because the egg is a single solid object, eliminating artifacts when viewing its interior (for instance, when removing portions of an egg, as in a hollow egg). Rendering speed has been greatly improved. Using a polyhedron (a solid shape) is instantly rendered in OpenSCAD (both Preview and Render). Uniform distribution of mostly square-shaped polygons on the surface generates an attractive appearance when printed.
