Swinging a tapered tool is downright frustrating. This feature thickens the handle's bottom under your palm, providing finger grooves for secure grip. The two pins go through the attachment into the two screw holes on the controller's bottom. You'll need pliers to remove them since their heads are rounded (designed to make swinging easier on the hands). Rubber bands can help prevent wobbling. A thin foam insert would be a better option, providing a neater appearance and improved functionality.
