Beat Saber Hilt for Oculus Quest Controllers
thingiverse
The Beat Saber handle/Oculus Quest by DE_Designs Models Work Great! I've noticed that the controllers tend to "wiggle" a bit while playing intense, fast-paced maps. Blade displacement is another issue that arises when dealing with rapid, closely placed blocks or smashing my controllers together when downward diagonal intersecting blocks present themselves. These fully encase the controller, eliminating the wiggle and shortening blade displacement in gameplay. Slots on the sides allow for secure attachment using Zip-Ties/shoelaces/hooks & straps to anchor to the controllers' rings. Honestly, they are secure enough simply being encased, but why take chances? To install, simply encase each controller between the top halves and screw on the handle. The right handle threads in the opposite direction. Light sanding may be required for proper handle placement. Thanks go out to DE_Designs for the original model and improved BS gameplay. UPDATE: Jamesdurst suggested a few alterations that eliminate tie-down straps, giving additional peace of mind by using factory wrist straps to prevent controller flyaways. The revised hilts are listed as "Revised Hilts" (only the top halves were revised; still use the original bottoms). A photo of the revised hilt is shown. A special note: the strap tightener won't fit through, so for ease of strap passage, remove the strap from the controller, pass the nub through the passage from outside, and re-install to the controller.
