Beat Saber Darth Maul style VIVE controller mounting bracket
thingiverse
Hello fellow 3D print enthusiasts. I'm a huge fan of Beat Saber, specifically the Darth Maul style. I had a VIVE controller bracket, but it was too big around where I hold my hand and too short overall. So, I designed a "Vive Controller Bracket" to mount two PCS VIVE controllers on a 25mm (about 1 inch) wooden dowel rod that's approximately 45cm long. My approach is to cut the dowel rod to find the ideal length for each user. When assembling the bracket, remember to attach the brackets 180 degrees apart from each other. I printed the bracket in ABS with a 20% infill and used 4mm triangles. The lock clip was printed with 100% infill. Despite extended use, including swinging it for hours, I haven't encountered any issues. Users can also tie a lanyard around the rod. My Ultimaker printer handled the project without requiring support material. Overall, this was a great and enjoyable exercise!
