I decided to experiment with a simple character model that bears some resemblance to myself, composed of basic boxes, and then combined it with online textures for the cardboard effect. I chose wax-crayon drawings scanned in for decal details to add an extra layer of depth. The blend of styles really caught my eye and proved to be a better aesthetic than if I had stuck solely to digital texturing. This experiment also evolved into an animation study where I was able to explore keyframed character animation, which is not something I've done a lot of before. I think I managed to convey some nice weights in the animation. Additionally, this was my first time keyframing moving ropes by hand, so hopefully it looks believable despite the low-poly constraints. Constructive feedback is welcome!
