Bearing Housing for - 10mm & 12mm Linear Bearings- ( SCS-UU ) The bearing position and mounting holes are situated in the same location as those found on aluminium housings, designed to minimize the weight of the MainBed. Square M3 nuts are utilized on both the 10mm and 12mm bearings, with a hex nut version available for the 12mm model. Mounting holes have a diameter of 3mm. The parts fit together seamlessly, featuring a 0.2mm offset and recessed corners to prevent corner swell issues. A 0.5mm beveled edge is incorporated into the inside clamp edge, eliminating first-layer flashing concerns. Minimal cleaning or no cleaning at all is required, depending on printing quality, as these parts have been extensively tested through dozen print runs. For bearing holders, use 12mm or 1/2 inch 4-gauge pan head screws on the sides, but M3 bolts, glue, or thermal welding can also be employed. For the topside of the 10mm version, utilize 3/8 inch or up to 10mm screws. A bearing spec sheet is included with the download for reference purposes. To ensure a clean thread cut, heat the 4-gauge screw tips with a flame. SketchUp files are provided for modification work. -=Mindless=-
