Bearing Dry Filament Holder

Bearing Dry Filament Holder

This remix enables long-term filament storage in a container, keeping it dry while maintaining connection to the printer. To preserve my filament's integrity, I use a plastic container like this one from Sista Plastics (https://sistemaplastics.com/products/klip-it-rectangular/5l-rectangle). A small hole is drilled into the container and a Bowden tube is used to minimize air exposure. This specific tube can be found at AliExpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3D-Printers-Parts-1M-PTFE-Tube-Teflon-PiPe-Connectors-J-head-Hotend-for-V5-V6-1/32837402053.html). The design modifications include relocating the holder to the center of the container. The source code for this modification can be found here: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/h5vRmStXGgS. Additional components include: *Screw Joiner*: This part combines two M4 screws, as I was unable to obtain a longer M4 screw. Two nuts are required, allowing the screws to enter from either side. *Container Feet*: These plastic feet keep the container level, lifting it so that the lid does not touch the ground. *Bearing Push-Inner*: This component facilitates bearing insertion into the final print, as I found the fit to be extremely tight. By applying an even force using this part, which aligns in the center of the bearing, a vice can be used to securely insert the bearing. Print this part solidly, as significant force will likely be required. All these parts are available on GitHub: https://github.com/sillyfrog/Dry-Filament-Holder
