I designed a robust, two-part bearing sheave specifically for my Mendel-style 3D printer's RepRap setup. Other components I had attempted using proved too weak - they shattered into fragments due to the stress of being printed in ABS plastic. So, I decided to craft a more substantial version that would meet the demands of heavy use and withstanding harsh mechanical loads.
