To install a direct drive on an Ultimaker Original, you'll likely need new 8mm rods. This adapter shifts one bearing 16mm, enabling Calum's setup to be mounted on the opposite side of the more rigid version. Components include a holding for the bearing, a round plug for the original wall panel hole, and holdings for M3 hex nuts that fix end caps. Ensure your printer has high precision like the Ultimaker Original with tight but not loose long and short belts. Print the adapter with the bearing hole at the bottom.
