Bear Y Idler with Tensioning and Y Motor Mount with Extra Mounting Hole
thingiverse
These two parts are designed for upgrading the Bear. - The idler is based on MattyVee's mk3 design, but my version has been modified to fit the Bear frame and uses a 20T idler instead. It remains in the same position as the original Y idler. I've made this idler adjustable from inside rather than under the frame. To secure it, an M3S thin nut needs to be added to the pocket in the mount and an M3 35mm bolt goes through the hole in the arm and threads into this nut, allowing it to swivel freely in its pocket. - The motor mount is based on the original Bear mount with a new addition underneath that allows for adjusting the horizontal position of the motor for belt alignment without needing to remove the motor. Updated 2019-03-25: A problem at the bottom of the idler frame mount has been resolved. When creating solid from wire frame, I had accidentally added a 1 degree slope on the bottom. I've also renamed this part with a 'no slot' suffix. I plan to create a version that includes a v slot slot on the bottom for easier and better alignment. Updated 2019-03-04: The idler pocket has been enlarged to make it simpler to insert the square nut into the pocket. Fusion 360 source files have also been added for the idler mount and arm. Corrected STL files are now properly oriented for printing.
