Bear Upgrade Prusa MMU2 Horizontal Mounting Brackets

This is a Bear Upgrade friendly version of the same horizontal brackets I designed specifically for the Multimaterial Upgrade 2. I created these using Tinkercad, so no source files are available at this time. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to print out these upgrades yet as my bear upgrade project isn't complete; I'll be sure to post some pictures once they're printed. --------- The Multimaterial Upgrade 2 is not compatible with Lack Enclosure designs due to its increased height and mounting angle requirements when using the provided brackets. The angled mount is necessary in order to maintain a 210mm printable Z Height, but users willing to sacrifice a few millimeters of Z height can mount it perfectly horizontally. Personally, I rarely exceed 180mm Z height, so I use the lowest possible mount option. One benefit of this setup is significantly reduced friction for incoming filament from above the MMU unit. There are two versions available: the Snap design by KostaMi and the Bolt design by pekcitron. - The 195mm Z Height version allows enough clearance to troubleshoot the MMU unit when it's mounted in an extended Lack enclosure. - The 180mm Z Height version is the mount I use; it's as low as possible while still allowing the unit to be mounted, giving great access for troubleshooting and reducing incoming filament friction.
