Trap! by idea_beans stands out as one of my favorite prints on Thingiverse, primarily because of its outstanding mechanical execution. The print quality itself is superb, while the assembly process requires only minor fitting adjustments to complete. Moreover, this device not only performs exceptionally but also exudes a striking appearance that has drawn significant praise. Unfortunately, a common criticism echoes through reviews: upon setting the jaws in place, one often doesn't lie flat, which though doesn't impact performance significantly, does undermine its aesthetic appeal. As several users have noted before, I had to devise a straightforward solution. Since editing the STL was out of question due to its fixed format, a more extensive rework of the parts seemed inevitable. I opted for this path to not only revise the original but also give it a personal touch – simple notch and hook were introduced on both ends, enabling right jaw to snap perfectly onto the left jaw. This minute change has been game-changer, now rendering Trap! both functionally flawless and visually stunning.
