Bear - Rambo Upper Hinge Mod
thingiverse
Update 06-11-18 Looking at the photo where both upper base and door hinges can be seen, it's clear that they could look better if they had the same mount-point style. I've included another STL with this style of mount-point, but it does require full supports due to an overhang. Altered Rambo Cover Hinge I'm upgrading my Mk2s to a Mk2.5 and have decided to go all out with Bear. Everything is printed in eSun Green PETG, even the angled brackets and connector plates. I'm just waiting for Gregoire/Pekcitron to complete and release the new Bear Extruder before stripping down my trusty Mk2s. The frame is assembled, and I've been planning how to light up the build plate area. I have a 5V LED strip that I intend to run in the slot of the 'U' shaped z-axes support. The RaMBo Lid Upper Hinge and the two PSU Upper Mounts attach to this inside slot, so I needed to move them. For the two PSU Mounts, I think I can simply tap and drill x2 M4 holes in an appropriate place and mount them to the outside of the z-axis supports. I'll have to wait until I've stripped down the Mk2s to confirm this, or else I'll have to do something else. The RaMBo Lid Upper Hinge required me to modify Gregoire's part and cobble together this one. I did it quickly last night, it's not pretty but it gets the job done, so here it is for anyone else who wants a clear slot along the inside to run some LEDs. It printed well first time for me. I included supports on the base only and didn't need a brim since I have good adhesion with PETG.
