My old BeanVac (http://beanvac.com.au/product/bean-vac/) was not working properly (no vacuum seal) and I noticed that the release was not pulled down completely.

Then the latch mechanism broke. Looks like there was a lot of stress for the type of soft plastic used in the original.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3 Pro

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2

Infill:

100%

Filament: Comgrow PLA White

Notes:

Used 100% infill since this is a part under stress but you can probably get away with less. Print it on its side.

Post-Printing =============
I had to drill out the hole slightly but there's more then enough material to make up for that. This is a tighter fit but seems to work well.

How I Designed This

Originally designed in Solidworks.
