Bean Case II
thingiverse
The Bean Case by Punch Through is a compact Bluetooth/Arduino board that packs a lot of cool features. This protective case lets you safeguard it while still being easy to open and access the battery inside. The design is actually a reworked version of my earlier Bean Case, which I created some time ago. I needed a bean case with more space for sensors, so I decided to start over and pay closer attention to fit and printability this time around. Here are a few key improvements: • Track now has a beveled design that minimizes overhangs and prints much better than before. The slide-and-lock mechanism worked smoothly from the get-go compared to the previous version. • Inside of case has been extended by 4mm to accommodate additional boards. In my setup, I'm inserting a BME280 temperature/pressure/humidity sensor that wouldn't fit in the original design. • A modified cap allows for secure attachment to metal using two 4mm cube magnets. • The body now features breather holes for environment sensors, primarily for aesthetic purposes.
